Teaching Assistant Task Description: Lecture "Advanced Computer Science II (Software Engineering)"

This document describes the tasks of a teaching assistant (TA) specific for this lecture, in addition to the general tasks.

What's special:

• Until 2 weeks before semester start:
  • try tlab003.clamv.iu-bremen.de as CLAMV teaching machine; get your login from Achim GELESSUS.
  • ensure that the tools needed are installed and operational:
    • vim, emacs (both with syntax highlighting)
    • dia (for UML diagram generation)
    • GNU toolkit, in particular: g++
    • make
    • svn
    • doxygen
    • gprof/gcov
    • valgrind
    • flex, bison
    • rpm
• Until semester start:
  • have familiarized with all tools covered in tutorials, using the designated teaching machine.
• until 1 week after semester start:
  • have fixed time slot for tutorials
• after each tutorial:
  • send brief feedback mail to instructor, describing "how it ran" (1-2 sentences)
